The C.D.S School, Katol Road Branch in association with Curiosity Club under the guidance of Shri Praboth Deshmukh organized an educational trip on 3rd Oct’2015 for the std.VI students. The main objective of the trip was to let the students know by observing and watching everything, which they study in their syllabus of History and Science.
During the trip students visited excavation site at Mansar, where about 1600 years old fort was found from there they went to see 1800 years old archaeological historical fort, Nagardhan. King Vikramaditya’s daughter was married to Vakataka’s king. Then students went to see Megaliths (Burial practise in chalcolithic India) at Naikund subsequently they visited Kalidas Memorical, where legendary Sanskrit scholar, Kalidas inspired by the monsoon clouds, wrote “Meghdootam” , which is a bench mark in Sanskrit Literature. Afterwards, students moved to the next spot, which was kandri coal mines to see winning of coal. From there they went to Anthropological museum, which is located at Seminary Hills, Nagpur Mary Prehistoric and historic objects were on display. Students came to know about- Origin of Universe, Human evolution, Bio cultural evolution of mankind, Human Biological Diversity, DNA finger printing etc.
There were articles related to the tribal life in M.P and Maharashtra. Viz Tools used for hunting, folk painting, their fishing and agricultural Implements, Dress and ornaments, Recreation of tribal life, Art and Craft, and art and religion etc.
The trip was concluded with students visiting sericulture farm, located at Ambazari to observe. Life cycle of Silkworm. The trip was highly successful and achieved its objective of learning through observing and watching.
