Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on 14th September. This day is celebrated to encourage the use of ‘Hindi’ language by the people of India. Hindi is the National Language, but it is being suppressed by foreign languages in India. In order to encourage the use of the language our school, had organized a function of Poetry reading in Hindi language.
Students were asked to prepare poems in Hindi and were asked to recite them in front of everyone. The school had arranged two competitions ‘Kavya Rachna’ that is reciting of self composed poems by the students and ‘Kavya Pathan’ that is reading of the poems by great poets. The students recited the poems beautifully and were appreciated by all. In the competition of ‘Kavya Rachna’, Ishika Bansod a student of class 9th B stood first while a student of 10th B, Mahima Kadwe stood second. In the competition of ‘Kavya Pathan’ Ansh Randhe from class 8th A stood first while a student of class 9th A Kunal Suryawanshi stood second.
The initiative of the function was taken by our Hindi teacher Mrs. Bharti Malviya. The function was judged by the Principal of our school, Mr. Kenneth Mendonca. He observed the function very carefully and appreciated the efforts of the participants. At the end of the function, Vote of thanks was given by our school co-ordinator and Hindi teacher Mrs. Bharti Malviya, the function was a great success. It also taught the students about the importance of our national language. The function influenced the students to use our national language and to respect it.
